With over a decade of experience in the dental industry, Amanda has developed a comprehensive understanding of dental practice management. She has successfully served in a variety of roles including Patient Care Coordinator, Assistant, Treatment Coordinator, Insurance Coordinator, Front Office Lead, and now, Practice Administrator. Her diverse background allows her to effectively manage the operations here at Friendly Smiles of Solomons, ensuring smooth collaboration between staff, patients, and insurance providers.

Amanda is passionate about improving workflows, enhancing patient experiences, and fostering a positive work environment for her team. Her dedication to high standards of care and operational efficiency has been a key factor in the success of the practices she’s worked with.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their son and daughter, and their five beloved dogs—three Chihuahuas and two Labs. The family loves to be on the water, whether it’s riding Jet Skis, lounging by the pool, or enjoying the ocean.

Amanda is always readily available to help both her staff and her patients with anything they bring her way!

Meet Mr. Winston, a 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with a heart as big as his personality! With years of experience providing comfort and emotional support, Mr. Winston has worked in hospitals and nursing homes, and now proudly serves as the official therapy dog at Friendly Smiles of Solomons. Whether he’s sitting on your lap during a procedure or simply being a calming presence, Mr. Winston’s focus is always on comfort and compassion.

Trained by Dr. Friend, Mr. Winston has become a beloved member of the dental team, sharing his unique talent for making patients feel at ease. As he approaches retirement, Mr. Winston is busy showing the ropes to his younger brother, Ginger-Vitis, ensuring the tradition of care continues seamlessly.

In his downtime, Mr. Winston loves sleeping, playing, and spending time with his siblings—Kiki, Stormy, and Ginger. His gentle spirit and unwavering dedication make every visit to Friendly Smiles of Solomons a little brighter. "Errrrrrr" - Mr. Winston

Say hello to Ginger-Vitis, the newest therapy pup at Friendly Smiles of Solomons! This 1-year-old Miniature Sheltie is already winning hearts with his playful energy and eager-to-please demeanor.

Ginger has excelled in all his puppy classes and is now advancing to therapy training. Under the mentorship of his best buddy, Mr. Winston, Ginger is quickly learning the art of providing comfort and emotional support to patients. He’s a natural at making everyone feel welcome and loved, often roaming the office to greet patients with a wagging tail and a cheerful “hello.”

Ginger loves when patients bring him treats, though his favorite indulgence is "Cheesestick 'O' Clock" and the occasional French Fry! He’s also a big fan of playtime, and nothing makes him happier than when patients toss his beloved toy, "Toothy," for him to fetch.

At home, Ginger enjoys quality time with his siblings—Mr. Winston, Kiki, and Stormy. With his boundless enthusiasm and growing skillset, Ginger-Vitis is well on his way to becoming a star therapy dog and a cherished member of the Friendly Smiles family.
